[INUG-Users] ISM installation with Omnibus 7.3

Beyond the ping probe Netcool doesn't have a *simple* poller. The
architecture of Omnibus make this difficult without plugging in at the probe
level. It is one of the blind areas. Another, cheaper poller I've seen
plugged into Netcool is Cacti but I do not know if it goes above basic
protocols.

It's Windows, and cheesy, but check out ActiveXperts.  $800 for an
enterprise license and it polls HTTP(s), RADIUS, LDAP, DNS, SMTP, etc.
It can send traps on failures.  I'm seriously considering migrating us
to it, to avoid IBM licensing, hassle, etc.
