Many thanks for your advice.

Actually, the reporter db has having problem, i mean to say i am not able to insert the data into the reporter_status table. Thus we dropped the table and recreated it. Now the oracle gateway is able to send the data to db successfully.

Delete the gateway stuff in the $omnihome/var directory.
It'll recreate it.

At the very begining of the file, you should see it logging into oracle
successfully (or not) and pulling back the table defs.

Additionally, you should see lines that say something to the effect of
"time to write but no commit" for its sending to the oracle db.

The other item of course is to make sure that the object server is
actually getting new events (I only say this because I have over-looked
this myself before).

If you are successfully logging in to oracle but are not writing records,
then its time to talk to the dba.

Thanks Brad.

I was running the gateway in debug mode only, and also as you said i am
deleting the the files in the $OMNIHOME/var/nco_g_oracle directory before
i restart the gateway. I have some more debug info found recently at the
end of the log file.

I think it is writting to the gateway cache, but from cache the data is
not reaching to the reporter_status  table through the Oracle DB.

First, restart the gateway with the log file set to 'debug', then you'll
get a much more clear picture of whats going on.

Before you restart,  wipe the existing log file and the directory
$OMNIHOME/var/[gateway name].  If there is a .pid for the gateway in the
$OMNIHOME/var/[gateway name] directory, get rid of that too (although if
you wipe at the directory level, this will be taken care of).

Hi Netcoolers,

I have configured the oracle reporter gateway and restarted the
nco_g_oracle process, but i am not seeing any events in the oracle db. I
have varified the following basic requirements that is necessary from
objectserver, oracle gateway and oracle db.

1. Even though the connectivity between Objectserver and oracle reporter
gateway is present.
2. Connectivity between reporter gateway and oracle db is present.
3. Eventa are present in Object server.
4. Configuration of oracle reporter gateway properties file correct.

I have no error in the reporter gateway log file.
