[INUG-Users] ITNM 3.8 - Spanning tree protocol

Hi Jim,
Here is the thing as I see it. Topoviz will present you vlan you like, but if there are, for example, vlan 211 and vlan 313 configured on two devices, and only 211 is trunked between them, your view, representing vlan 313 will show those two devices connected. How can I avoid that?
Then, if there are multiple paths between two devices in the same VLAN, obviously only one will be "active", and some interfaces will be blocked to disable usega of other paths. I would like to see in topoviz views which devices contain blocked interfaces. If I can get that, I believe I can get root bridge marked for STP (spanning tree protocol) instance of desired VLAN.
Additional agents and stichers needed? Or combining different tables can be enough?
Hope this is more clear.
Kind regards,

Hi users,
I've installed and configured Netcool SNMP gateway, running under
Netcool/OMNIbus 7.2, but when I try to run SNMP Gateway, I get the error
showed in the log below. Gateway is complaining about license file. I
thought this gateway didn't need a license file, as the new netcool
products.
So, does anyone know if I need to request a license file for this gateway?
We have bought a SNMP gateway from an IBM vendor, but we didn't recevied any
license file, just the link for downloading the software.
Or Am I using an old gateway version and exists a newer version which don't
need license file?

I have created some very simple tools (like computer management launched to the host in the Node value). Unfortunately several of the tools I have created don't seem to work on 2 of my Windows servers we use and the only difference I can find are they are 64bit and my other servers are 32bit.
Anyone see this and know of a work around?

Guys, I'm seeing this in my Oracle GW logs:
Fri Sep 11 17:11:01 2009 Information: I-UNK-000-000: Reader Statistics:
Batches=146 Insert(601)/Update(258)/Delete(0)/Details(0)/Journals(73)
[Avg. 1 events a second]
the "1 events a second" part seems counterintutive given the rest of the
data.
Anyone know how to interpret this?
Ed

It's been a while since I've played with that gateway - does the data
reset every reporting period, or is it the total passed?

"
7. Data receive rate
This statistic shows the average event rate per second. An event is
defined by the reader to be any insert/update/delete SQL action
constructed and prepared by the reader and sent to one of the writers. Its
value defines the average data rate for the current statistics calculation
period. If the statistics period is 60 seconds and 60 events were prepared
the average receive rate for the period is one event a second, even if all
of the data was prepared in just one of the seconds in the period.
"
It doesn't relate to alerts.status events.
