[INUG-Users] Remedy Gateway Failover

Dear All,
 
Could anybody please let me know if you have configured remedy gateway failover in the past? If yes how to do it. I have two gateways running on separate boxes.
 
I got an answer from IBM saying
"The Process Agent can manage process start and shutdown, but it is primarily used to monitor a process to keep it running. It alone cannot be used to monitor a remote Remedy gateway and when it is unavailable start a local Remedy gateway process. You could develop a custom script utilizing nco_ping to determine when the remote process is unavailable, and then issue PA commands to start the backup Remedy gateway process. A script would also be needed to determine when the remote process is again available, and then stop the Remedy gateway process."
 
Now we are using a shell script to do the same, however please specify if there is a better way to achieve the same.
