Please see my post from today answering the same question from another
list member.

The sending of traps is fully documented in the .pdf that comes with m2r.

Re: [INUG-Users] USAGE OF M2R FOR SENDING TRAPS

Hello

Is their any document on how to send traps from m2r if yes where can i get
that or any help regarding this will be appreciated.

Thanks Amit

Hi,

I dnt think so there is any such documenation available for the same.I had
one m2r documentation , however it doesn't tell the way as to how the
traps
should be sent.

However I tried sending the traps this way and its working fine for me:-

Just try running the probe at port number 162 as a root user, since the
non
root users cant acess the port numbers upto 1024.

And then click on the traps tab in the m2r window. And fill in the required
fiields in that ie object values and all. And then finally view the events
in the Omnibus.

Regards

Anchala
