Folks,
	I need to figure out how to update the journal for any alert that
the GenericClear or the Expire automation affects.  I went into "actions" in
the automations, and turned on the "Journal" option, which wrote SO MANY
journal entries into alerts that were NOT impacted by GenericClear or Expire
that it was unusable.  Of all the things I have done in Netcool/Omnibus,
automations is one that I (unfortunately) never got the hang of writing or
modifying.  I went through the documentation on automations in the Admin
Guide before sending this email, so I hope I get a better answer than
"RTFM"... because I already did...  :o)  As always, your assistance is
greatly appreciated!
