[INUG-Users] licenseless Netcool parts

Erwin, I think that some of the probes have had the licensing stripped out
now, I have download ones that don't need a license to startup i.e. 5620SAM
probe. I would think that from now it is standard for any new probe release
(patch) to not require the license. So then it depends when was the last
patch for a certain probe released. If there's been no new patch for a while
then the old license-requiring binary will still be in use.

Maybe someone on the list can confirm or someone from IBM about the official
policy on the probes, but I would think the vast majority of probes that you
download from the IBM pages now will not require a license. I could be
wrong.

Hope that helps

James
